Guidance for ASV Poster Presentations

Guidelines for creating & printing the poster
- The printed poster size must not exceed 4 ft x 4 ft (120 cm x 120 cm).
- Include your title at the top of your poster.
- The title should be followed by a list of authors and affiliations. Please highlight the presenting author (e.g., in bold or underlined).
- Text should be readable at a distance of 4 ft. A minimum font size of 28 is recommended.

When to hang up & take down your poster:
- Each poster will hang for the entire day on your poster session day
- You should hang up your poster between 11:00 a.m and 12:30 p.m. the day of your presentation.
- Poster boards will be labeled with abstract numbers that match those in the ASV Program Book; set up your poster on the board with your poster’s abstract number.
- Board fasteners will be provided.
- All posters MUST be removed by 10:00 p.m. for Tuesday and Wednesday sessions, and by 5:30 p.m. for the Thursday session. Please help our volunteers to get ready for the next session by removing your poster yourself. Unremoved or abandoned posters will be stored temporarily in the poster hall but must be claimed no later than 6:00 pm on Thursday or they will be recycled.

Presenting your poster at the ASV meeting:
- Practice presenting your poster. See tips below for more on this!
- Be present and ready to talk with viewers of your poster during your assigned session.
- Viewers may ask for a verbal overview or recap of your poster, or they may ask specific questions to learn more about a particular aspect.
